Aston Villa are hoping to extend their five-game unbeaten run in the Premier League when they host an up-and-down West Ham United at Villa Park on Sunday.

Unai Emery's men go into the game on the back of a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Monaco in the UEFA Champions League. A result which sees them drop to 9th, outside the automatic qualification places.

But their form in the English top flight is far more promising after they came back from 2-0 down to draw with title-chasing Arsenal last time out. The Villans sit in 8th, and could rise as high as 5th with three points this weekend.

West Ham recently lost 2-0 to Crystal Palace, which underlines the challenge ahead for Graham Potter. The former Chelsea manager's first game for The Irons was the 2-1 defeat to Villa in the FA Cup earlier this month.

A talking point ahead of the rematch will be Villa forward Jhon Duran, who is at the centre of speculation over a move to West Ham. The London club renewed their interest in the Columbian with a £57m bid that was rejected.
