A young Celtic fan was left with an unforgettable moment as he was showered with applause by thousands of Young Boys fans.

The heart-warming scenes came after full time at Celtic Park where the Hoops clinched a narrow 1-0 victory over the Swiss side. Adam Idah forced the late own goal that sealed progress to the Champions League play-off stages next month. The 60,000 fans will have left Paradise on cloud nine but there was still plenty to cheer about inside the stadium after the final whistle.

And young fan Joshua, who attended the game with his dad, could not contain himself after watching his beloved side triumph. The X clip shows him approaching the full visitors' curve in the already empty Parkhead and doing a wave. The YB fans promptly applaud him and perform a huge build up before the young fan sent them into a flurry of cheers.

"Thank you to all the BSC Young Boys fans at Celtic Park tonight for giving my little guy Joshua his very personal, memorable and special moment," said X user Kevin McLaughlin, adding: "Have a safe journey home everyone, what a great show of support!"

Young Boys shared the clip on their X page calling it "Beautiful scenes!". They wrote: "Joshua, a young Celtic fan, was at Celtic Park with his dad yesterday and after the game there was this cute scene where Joshua did the wave with the whole YB curve. The BSC Young Boys supporters then gave him a YB scarf."

Brendan Rodgers' men still have one more Champions League league game to play, against Aston Villa at Villa Park next Wednesday.
