World No.1 Judd Trump's quest to make £2m in a single season continues at the German Masters

The Ace in the Pack has been in a class of his own this season, clocking up more than £1m in winnings before Christmas - and he can add an extra 100k to that total with success in Berlin. He'll also be looking to add a few more centuries to his season total, as he closed in on another milestone that comes with a big cash prize.

But with the World Snooker Championships getting ever closer a packed roster of stars are preparing to battle it out for glory in Berlin. Shaun Murphy caused a shock by lifting the Masters at Alexandra Palace, defeating world champ Kyren Wilson in a final that he basically had in the bag by the end of the afternoon session. His win moved him up to second in this year's prizemoney list and he'll be determined to add to that in Germany - saying he's playing some of the best snooker of his career under coach Peter Ebdon.

Neil Robertson has had reason to celebrate already this week after earning an OAM, the Australian version of an MBE, and the Aussie made the most of his last minute Masters call-up after Ronnie O'Sullivan pulled out, defeating Scotland's John Higgins. Both players are back on the entry list for Germany and have already made it through the first round. The Rocket meanwhile continues to be absent, and is joined in not competing by Chinese star Ding Junhui.
