Watch goals as Rangers defeat Aberdeen in Scottish Youth Cup Final at Hampden

Rangers defeated Aberdeen in this evening's Scottish Youth Cup Final at Hampden.

The Ibrox under-18s visited the national stadium to take on the Dons and had to come from behind to succeed despite a goalless first-half. As it was, Dons' defender Timothy Akindileni had a huge say in where the trophy ended up after opening the scoring after the break.

A corner kick would play pinball inside the Gers area only for the ball to finally fall to the feet of Akindileni and he prodded it home beyond goalkeeper Mason Munn. A handball would then be awarded inside the Aberdeen area and Finlay Curtis slotted the ball home beyond the outstretched Rodrigo Vitols.

And as the game wound down, an effort from outside the box from Gers' Josh Gentles was deflected into his own net by Akindileni to ensure the young Light Blues would take home the trophy after last season's final disappointment.
