Liverpool or Tottenham Hotspur will face Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final. The Magpies defeated Arsenal 4-0 on aggregate across two legs in the semi-final, booking themselves a trip to Wembley Stadium.

Arne Slot will be just as keen as Ange Postecoglou to lock horns with Eddie Howe in the capital, with silverware up for grabs. Last month, Spurs clambered past the Premier League leaders in the first leg, with Lucas Bergvall netting a late winner to give his side a one-goal lead.

The Lilywhites will be without some big names for the trip to Anfield, but they did manage to strengthen their squad in the transfer window. So, with that being said, football.london has rounded up everything you need to know about how to watch the heavyweight clash.

What has Postecoglou said about Liverpool vs Tottenham?

Speaking to reporters ahead of the clash in Merseyside, Postecoglou said: "No like I said before, I think you need to embrace the challenge in front of you and it’s very easy to say it’s just going to be another game because it’s not.

"Everyone knows the consequences of it, both us and the opposition. We’re playing away from home and you know certainly their crowd will give them a great deal of energy, which we have to deal with.

"And it’s a cup game so there is a possibility of extra-time, a possibility of penalties, so all those things are factored into it, so you’re preparation and information is a little bit different and you want to make it into a big game because ultimately you need to understand behaviour in big games and what it means and how you can overcome the challenges.

"So, (preparation) changes a little bit. The fundamentals of how we play won’t change, but in terms of how we go about it will be a bit different..."

What has Slot said about Liverpool vs Tottenham?

Speaking to reporters ahead of the Spurs clash, Slot said: "No, I don't think I have to prepare them differently than in any other game. Because from now until the end of the season, it's been already the whole season, and I think as long as Liverpool exists, if you play in this shirt, you need to win the game.

"That's for tomorrow, that's for Sunday, that's for Wednesday afterwards and the game after that. Even if we go 1-0 down in the league or whatever tournament we are in, we try and want to win the game.

"That's also what we tried in the away game against Tottenham – I think we were quite close to getting a result over there until the last few seconds, we were down to 10 and conceded a goal. Nothing changes for this game compared to others.

"If you wear this shirt, if you go out at Anfield, there is only one thing that is expected of you – and that's winning the game..."
