How to watch Liverpool vs Tottenham for free in Carabao Cup semi-final
Liverpool vs Tottenham is perfectly poised ahead of the second leg, with the Reds trailing by a goal but having home advantage on Wednesday night.
Liverpool has only lost two matches all season in all competitions, and one of those defeats came in the first leg last month when a Lucas Bergvall goal secured a 1-0 victory over Arne Slot's men.
That was also only the second time that Liverpool had failed to score all season, with the other being the 1-0 loss at home to Nottingham Forest in September.
There was an element of fortune to Tottenham's victory in the first leg, with goalscorer Bergvall perhaps lucky to be on the pitch after avoiding a second yellow card for a strong challenge on Kostas Tsimikas moments before finding the net.

Tsimikas had not yet returned to the pitch when Bergvall scored, having received treatment following the heavy challenge, leading to furious remonstrations from Arne Slot and Virgil van Dijk with the match referee. That is old news now, and Slot will be keen to see his charges bounce back and secure a place in the Wembley final against Newcastle.
Not all UK fans will be aware, but tonight's match is on free-to-air TV, with ITV having secured the rights to show the game live. Coverage begins on ITV 1 at 7:30pm GMT ahead of the 8pm kick-off. Sky Sports, the competition's main UK broadcaster, reached an agreement with ITV last year for some matches to be shown on free-to-air TV, beginning in January 2025.
It was later confirmed that the first leg of the semi-final between Arsenal and Newcastle would be shown on ITV 1, while the second leg of Tottenham vs Liverpool would also be shown on ITV 1. The agreement between Sky Sports and ITV runs until the end of the 2026-27 season. During the 2025-26 and 2026-27 seasons, ITV will screen at least nine Carabao Cup matches in total, including: one tie from each of the first four rounds, one additional tie from either the third or fourth round, two quarter-final ties, one semi-final tie, and the final.
