Manchester United face Rangers for the first time since 2010 in the Champions League, but this time around, it's a Europa League clash.

Rangers boss Phillippe Clement has not enjoyed a fantastic season domestically, but the Scottish club's fortunes have been great in Europe, namely picking up a 1-1 draw against Premier League heavyweights Tottenham Hotspur.

United's record in the competition has been so-so, picking up three wins and three draws to remain unbeaten going into the penultimate match day of the league phase.

Ruben Amorim's team have won their last three in a row, and will be confident of victory with the game being played at Old Trafford. However, they did just lose 3-1 to Brighton and Hove Albion on the same turf in the Premier League, so anything could happen in this one.

Here's everything you need to know about the match.

What time does the match kick-off?

Manchester United v Rangers kicks off at 8pm on Thursday, January 23 at Old Trafford in Manchester.

What TV channel is Manchester United v Rangers on?

Manchester United v Rangers is being shown live on TNT Sports 1. Coverage begins at 7pm, and viewers can also stream the match on Discovery+.

Team news

Manchester United will be without Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount and Jonny Evans for this game. However, this won't massively effect selection for Thursday.

James Tavernier made his return for Rangers against Fraserburgh in the Scottish Cup over the weekend, and his involvement against Man Utd could be crucial if they have any hope of a scalp.

Goalkeeper Jack Butland will not feature, with John Souttar sidelined with a groin injury. Danilo and Ianis Hagi are ineligible for this clash, while Mohamed Diomande is suspended.
