Chelsea will look to hand Emma Hayes the perfect send-off by sealing another Women’s Super League (WSL) title today.

Hayes takes charge of the Blues for the final time in her illustrious and trophy-laden 12-year spell at the helm, which will come to an emotional end this summer as she departs to take over the US women’s national team.

Having been on for a potential quadruple at one stage, it had then looked like she would end her final campaign in west London trophyless after a League Cup final defeat by Arsenal was followed by an FA Cup semi-final loss to eventual winners Manchester United and Champions League last-four exit at the hands of Barcelona.

Hayes later conceded the WSL title race to Manchester City after a chaotic 4-3 loss to Liverpool earlier this month gave Gareth Taylor’s side a six-point advantage with two matches left to play.

However, things have changed again very quickly, with Chelsea now in the driving seat on the final day after wins over Bristol City and Tottenham coupled with City’s costly home defeat by Arsenal sent them back top of the table on goal difference.

Chelsea travel to face FA Cup winners United again this afternoon, while City finish up away at seventh-placed Aston Villa with both teams currently sitting level on 52 points each.

Chelsea will secure a fourth successive WSL title if they match or better City’s result at Villa, while City need to better Chelsea’s result against United.

If both teams win on Saturday, then City need to ensure that they overturn a three-goal swing on Chelsea in the process.

Here’s how to follow all the action live this afternoon.
