Liverpool looks set to top the inaugural new-look Swiss-format Champions League table and will guarantee such an outcome if it draws with or beats PSV next week. It could even lose that game as long as Barcelona doesn't beat Atalanta.

Much lower down the standings, though, PSG and Manchester City are fighting to make the knockout phase having struggled so far in the competition. And the two giants meet next in need of the points.

In the UK, this match will be shown live on TNT Sports and Discovery+, where it can be streamed via the app for the same service. In the US, the game is on Paramount+, again where it can be streamed.

Bradley Barcola has been in exceptional form this season for PSG but new signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is ineligible until the knockout phase because he has only arrived in France in the winter window. New players can't play for their new team until the group phase has been completed.

Rodri, Nathan Ake and Oscar Bobb are all missing for Manchester City while John Stones is a doubt with a foot injury. But Pep Guardiola's side looked much better last weekend, scoring six against Ipswich in the Premier League. This will be a much more accurate acid test of whether it really has turned a corner.

Erling Haaland signed a nine-and-a-half-year contract last week. Ahead of the game with PSG, the Norwegian explained the reasoning behind his decision to commit until he is well into his 30s.

"I think when I signed for City, I felt like it was home," Haaland said during his pre-match press conference. "I really meant it. I feel so happy, my family is so happy. In the end that is what I wanted.

"The people I spoke with made me convinced that this was the right choice. In the end, when I spoke with people, we came to this, and it felt really good. I really look forward to spending so many more years in Manchester, it’s going to be amazing."
