West Brom braced for Premier League bids as clubs battle for £9.9m transfer
West Bromwich Albion reportedly may be willing to accept a bid for star striker Josh Maja this January transfer window, as three Premier League sides show interest in the Championship's second-highest goalscorer.
Maja has been in top form this season with 12 goals and two assists in the league, making him the club's top goalscorer, as the currently manager-less Baggies push for the play-off places. The single-capped Nigeria international joined West Brom in the summer of 2023 from Bordeaux but only managed 12 league appearances last term due to injury struggles.
With the 26-year-old performing so well this season, he has reportedly begun to attract attention from higher up the English football pyramid. According to Fichajes, AFC Bournemouth, Ipswich Town and Southampton are all interested in his services.

The Saints are keen to add goals as they look to pull off one of the great escapes and remain in the Premier League under new manager Ivan Jurić. Relegation rivals Ipswich are keen to add to their youthful forward line as they also fight for survival, whilst the Cherries are keen to add depth as they push into the European places.
The Spanish news outlet have stated that the estimated fee required for Maja would be €12 million (£9.9m) with West Brom apparently willing to let go of their number nine amid 'fierce' competition should an offer meet their financial expectations.
Maja's interesting career path has seen him already gain Premier League experience. The London-born forward made a January-window loan move to Fulham from former club Bordeaux back in 2021, scoring three goals as they were relegated to the second tier.
A sale of the former Sunderland and Stoke City striker would certainly be a dent in the Baggies' promotion hopes, however if they were to accept a sufficient bid, the money would be a significant boost to the West Midlands club's finances.
