West Brom next manager update emerges as Tony Mowbray 'in talks' over stunning return
West Bromwich Albion are reportedly closing in on reappointing Tony Mowbray as their new manager to replace Carlos Corberan.
Corberan departed The Hawthorns on Christmas Eve to take up a new job as Valencia's head coach.
The departure came out of the blue for the Baggies and has left them looking for a replacement.

However, that replacement appears to be close as, according to The Telegraph, Mowbray has held detailed talks with the Championship club regarding the vacancy.
The 61-year-old's last job was at Birmingham City but that was sadly cut short after Mowbray received a cancer diagnosis forcing him to step down in February.
Thankfully for Mowbray, he has now received the all clear from doctors and he is ready to restart his managerial career.
It is believed that West Brom's talks with former Young Boys manager Raphael Wicky broke down earlier this week which led to Mowbray being approached.
In his previous spell in the West Midlands, Mowbray made a great impression having led them to the Championship title and an FA Cup semi-final.
He would move to Celtic in 2009, ending a three-year association with the club, and has since managed Middlesbrough, Blackburn Rovers, Coventry City as well as Blues.
When asked if he was nearing a return to management in November 2024, Mowbray said: "I do want to go back to work because football is in my blood, it’s what I do.
"I still have issues, I’m still, at the moment, not 100 per cent ready for work, but somewhere down the line (I will come back).
"My body’s telling me that I’m not ready yet."
