West Ham player ratings vs Man United: Lucas Paqueta gift-wraps the goals for a happy Hammers Christmas
West Ham head into Christmas with a morale-bosting win over Manchester United.
Having struggled against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup in midweek, David Moyes reinstated his big guns and they delivered against a sorry Reds side.
Here's how David Moyes's side rated at the London Stadium...
Alphonse Areola 6
Backed to return as League No1 despite Fabianski form. Fumbled a Mainoo strike that almost crept in but kept a first League clean sheet since September.
Vladimir Coufal 6
Spent a fair bit of time drifting inside. Caught out by Garnacho's runs on a couple of occasions.
Kurt Zouma 8
Bullied Hojlund, who hardly had a kick. Superb clearance denied Garnacho a tap-in.
Konstantinos Mavropanos 6
Doesn't inspire confidence yet but steady enough.
Emerson 7
Decent strike well saved by Onana early on. Kept Antony largely under wraps, though that is not saying much.
James Ward-Prowse 6
Delivery strangely off, with a couple of balls whipped too high and deep.
Edson Alvarez 7
Did an excellent job in marking Fernandes out of the game.
Tomas Soucek 6
Picked up his customary facial injury in clash with Emerson.
Mohammed Kudus 7
Gifted ball away for what should have been United opener but Garnacho missed. Quiet going forward but came alive to take clinching goal brilliantly .Booked.
Jarrod Bowen 7
Did little to trouble a makeshift centre-back pairing until being moved back wide. From there, got his goal running inside onto Paqueta pass.
Moment of absolute quality lit up an otherwise drab game and made Bowen's goal. Assisted Kudus's second, too. Booked.
