West Ham XI vs Burnley: Starting lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest
West Ham remain without Emerson Palmieri for today’s visit of Burnley - but Nayef Aguerd is fit to start.
Aguerd has lost his place in David Moyes’s first-choice line-up to Konstantinos Mavropanos in recent weeks but missed a potential chance to restate his case when injury ruled him out of Thursday night’s Europa League defeat to Freiburg.
Emerson, one of Moyes’ most reliable performers this term, also limped off with a groin problem midway through the second half of that game.
Maxwel Cornet remains sidelined with a hamstring problem, while Alphonse Areola returns in place of cup goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski in goal.
Aaron Cresswell gets the nod at left-back while Kalvin Phillips starts in midfield.
Kurt Zouma and Edson Alvarez remain on the bench.
West Ham XI: Areola; Coufal, Mavropanos, Aguerd, Cresswell; Phillips, Soucek, Ward-Prowse; Kudus, Bowen, Paqueta
Subs: Fabianski, Johnson, Zouma, Antonio, Ings, Alvarez, Mubama, Ogbonna, Earthy
Injuries: Cornet, Emerson
Time and date: 2pm GMT, Sunday March 10, 2024
