Weston-super-Mare have confirmed that Brandon Bak, Marley Rose and Raphael Araoye have all returned to Bristol City following the expiration of their loan spells with the National League South side.

With the January transfer window now underway, all three players have returned to the Robins High Performance Centre ahead of the second half of the season, having enjoyed temporary spells with the Seagulls.

Bak, a product of the Weston academy, featured 11 times for Scott Bartlett's side in the National League South but only managed to find the net once, despite impressing in his limited minutes of action. He did appear off of the bench in the Seagulls' FA Cup clash with Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Stadium, coming off of the bench in extra time as Weston were beaten by the Gas in the first round.

Araoye only made the move to the Optima Stadium in December, having previously spent four months with Weston the season prior. The 20-year-old started the season on loan at Yeovil Town but was unable to hold down a regular place in the Glovers' starting line-up before his loan was cut short in October. Araoye made five appearances for the Seagulls, four of which saw him named in the starting line-up.

Unfortunately, Rose's spell in the National League South has been curtailed by injury. The versatile attacker started brightly with Weston but hasn't featured in the league since November and will continue his rehab with the Robins now that his spell with the non-league side has been brought to an end.

In a statement on X on Monday, Weston wrote: "We can confirm that Brandon Bak, Marley Rose, Raphael Araoye & Harvey Greenslade have all returned to their parent clubs following the expiration of their loans.

"Thank you to all four players for their contributions to the club and all the best for the future. We would also like to take this opportunity to wish Marley all the best for his injury rehab back at Bristol City."

It remains unclear if all three players will remain at Ashton Gate for the remainder of the season or continue their development on loan elsewhere. One player Bristol Live understands will be remaining on loan for the remainder of the season is Jamie Knight-Lebel. The current is understood to be that the Canada international will remain in League Two with Crewe beyond the end of January.
