Where Abdoulaye Doucoure ranks in fastest Premier League goals after perfect Everton start
Abdoulaye Doucoure has scored some crucial goals for Everton down the years. Now he's in the record books for the fastest strike in the club's history.
The midfielder slammed home after just 10 seconds against Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday after latching on to a long ball forward from Jordan Pickford.
The nature of the goal left statistics consulting their spreadsheets everywhere and as relayed by Everton Statto, the goal is the quickest ever scored by the Blues in a competitive match.

According to Everton Results, the previous fastest was from Howard Kendall, who scored after 14 seconds against Chelsea in 1970. The Blues' previous quickest of the Premier League era were scored by Tom Davies - also against Leicester - and Romelu Lukaku - against Bournemouth - in 2017.
In terms of the quickest goals in Premier League history overall, Doucoure wasn't quite fast enough to trouble Shane Long's strike for Southampton against Watford in the 2018-19 season. That came after 7.69 seconds.
Philip Billing and Ledley King are in second and third respectively. Doucoure will have to wait for an official ruling to see if he gets in the top four, with Alan Shearer's mark of 10.52 seconds currently occupying that spot.
