The 2024/25 PDC World Darts Championship reaches its climax tonight (Friday, January 3) as 17-year-old British sensation Luke Littler faces off against three-time winner Michael Van Gerwen in the final at Alexandra Palace.

Littler is looking to claim his first world championship title after losing last year's final to Luke Humphries.

A win in tonight's final would make him the youngest-ever player to lift the Sid Waddell Trophy, surpassing Van Gerwen’s record set at age 24.

Van Gerwen is looking to win his fourth world championship title and his first since 2019.

Both Littler and Van Gerwen breezed into the final winning their semi-final match-ups against Stephen Bunting (6-1) and Chris Dobey (6-1) respectively.

The pair have developed a great rivalry during the teenager’s first year on the dart's scene having played each other 12 times, winning six each.
