Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo's agent has arrived in Manchester amid hopes that either Manchester United or Manchester City could sign the Spaniard.

Olmo was one of Spain's standout stars at the Euros and a move away from RB Leipzig was seen as inevitable. That is how it would play out as Barca, Olmo's boyhood club, snapped up the star.

However, the Catalan club currently find themselves in trouble with La Liga over his registration. The Spanish governing body agreed to hand Olmo a temporary registration until the end of 2024 due to Barcelona's financial issues.

Barca are currently in the midst of trying to resolve the situation, undertaking legal proceedings against La Liga to try and lift their restrictions. However, there are currently no signs that Barca will be able to lift the registration ban and if that is the case, Olmo would be able to depart on a free in January.

This has, of course, perked the interest of many clubs across Europe with United and City among the clubs linked with trying to sign him. Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claimed over the summer that United had shown a 'serious interest' in the midfielder, while more recent reports from The Sun have claimed Arsenal and Bayern Munich are due to rival City for Olmo's signature next month.

Now, the midfielder's agent has arrived in Manchester for City's game against Everton. When asked by the Daily Mail if he was in the city, agent Andy Bara replied that he was but merely for a holiday.

Bara previously worked on the deal that saw Josko Gvardiol join the Blues from RB Leipzig and this could be a contributing factor as to why the Croatian finds himself in Manchester over Christmas. Since joining Barcelona, the attacking midfielder has managed six goals and an assist in 15 appearances.
