Liverpool is edging closer to the end of the Jürgen Klopp era. Should Arsenal beat Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, the Reds will not be able to finish any higher or lower than third place with matches against Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers still to be played.

The celebration of Klopp's tenure will soon really begin. Realistically, we have known for a while that Liverpool will not be winning the Premier League title and a Champions League place has already been secured. In the meantime, here's your round-up of the latest Liverpool news, with Darwin Núñez once again featuring.

Why Luis Suárez called Darwin Núñez an 'idiot'

Darwin Núñez has been in the news a lot this week, with speculation surrounding him and a possible transfer move to Barcelona this summer. While Klopp appeared to rule that out during his Friday press conference, the rumors are not going to end there.

Speaking to ESPN Uruguay, Núñez has outlined his friendship with former Liverpool and Barcelona striker Luis Suárez, who is now playing for Inter Miami in MLS. "Off the field, we have a very good bond," he said of his fellow countryman.

"I always follow him because Luis is an idol for me, and he also advises me a lot. For example, the time the headbutt thing happened (against Crystal Palace), Luis was the first to write to me. 'You idiot, don’t do that, another idiot is talking to you and he’s done it a thousand times,’ he told me. With Luis, we created a very nice bond."

Mohammed Kudus praised amid Liverpool 'links'

Last summer, West Ham United paid $48m (£38m/€44m) to sign Mohammed Kudus from Ajax, so there is little chance of him moving away a year later unless a substantial profit can be made. Nevertheless, he is being linked with another switch, including to Liverpool.

"It’s Kudus, it’s all about Mohammed Kudus," pundit Clinton Morrison said on Sky Sports as he impressed against Luton Town earlier today. "He is some player, by the way. He just beats two or three, goes into the box, cuts it back and George Earthy gets across the defender and puts it into the bottom corner."

While Mohamed Salah is expected to stay at Liverpool next season, Give Me Sport suggested earlier in the week that Kudus could be a replacement for the Egyptian at Anfield this summer. The Athletic's David Ornstein also got a few fans talking when he suggested that it would be a 'surprise' if Liverpool weren't having a look, though that certainly doesn't mean a move is imminent.
