This weekend's Premier League round of matches will get underway at 3pm instead of 12:30pm with only six of the 10 fixtures taking place on Saturday. And Manchester United will not be in action until the unusual time of 7pm on Sunday evening.

Despite several Championship, League One and League Two matches and even a Women's Super League game starting at lunchtime, there is no fixture from the men's top flight until mid-afternoon.

Bournemouth vs Nottingham Forest, Brighton & Hove Albion vs Everton, Liverpool vs Ipswich Town, Southampton vs Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Arsenal will all be the first Premier League fixtures of the day at 3pm.

Both Arsenal and Liverpool were involved in UEFA competitions this midweek having played on Tuesday. Manchester City are the first from Wednesday's European games to be back in action against Chelsea at 5:30pm on Saturday evening.

On Sunday, Aston Villa host West Ham United at 4:30pm, two-and-a-half hours after Tottenham Hotspur take on Leicester City and Crystal Palace face Brentford - both at 2pm. However, five hours after Sunday's first match begins, its final fixture of the weekend will commence at 7pm, when Fulham welcome Manchester United to Craven Cottage.

United's involvement in the Europa League on Thursday is why there is no 12:30pm kick-off on Saturday. TNT Sports had selected the match from the weekend's schedule for live coverage in advance.

While the broadcaster's usual time slot is the Saturday lunchtime match, Ruben Amorim's side playing Fulham at that time was a non-starter with the Reds Devils playing Rangers less than 48 hours earlier.

A noon kick-off on Sunday was reputedly on the cards, only for United to reject that proposal in favour of a 7pm start, which allows for several additional hours of recovery.

Southampton also hosted Tottenham in that same slot on December 15, coincidently following Spurs' midweek Europa League fixture against Rangers. TNT Sports also broadcast that game.

Bournemouth hosted Chelsea at the even later time of 8pm on Saturday, September 14, with Liverpool also playing Aston Villa at that time on November 9.
