Willie Peters' Hull KR selection headache deepens as new recruit lays down intentions
Eribe Doro will not settle for being a Hull KR squad player as he looks to make his mark at Craven Park. Doro, a new addition to the Robins squad ahead of the 2025 season, is determined to nail down a regular spot in Willie Peters' first-term squad, despite a daunting battle for places in the pack.
Doro has arrived after a standout season in the Championship, shining in the middle for Bradford Bulls. That earned him a return to Super League with Rovers, having come through the ranks with Warrington Wolves.
But having got a taste for regular action at Odsal, the 23-year-old wants that to be maintained this year, even if he now finds himself in a fierce battle with numerous well-established stars.

"I'm here to play," Doro said. "Whether that be round one or round ten, I'll be ready. My job is to turn up every day and give Willie a headache and hopefully carry on going the way I'm going and if I'm not playing, ask why I'm not playing.
"Willie likes that I think, he doesn't bring players in to make the numbers up. Every player in this squad is good enough to play at this level and we push each other every day. My personal target is to play every game possible, if I can play from round one to the Grand Final that will be amazing.
"If that doesn't happen, I'll work hard and be ready to take my opportunity when I get it."
Doro admitted that he had already had discussions with Peters about his first-term prospects heading into the new year.
"I had a conversation with him about it before I signed and I've had them throughout pre-season," he said. "It's always good to touch base and see where you are. I'll keep that to myself right now but they've been honest conversations and he's the sort of coach who will reward you if you work hard. That's my mentality, work hard, take the opportunities and get the rewards."
Rovers supporters got a first glimpse of Doro in action as he caught the eye with an all-action display against York Knights in the Amsterdam Challenge.
Doro appeared to embrace the physical side of the game as he added: "Fair assessment, it's what I get out of bed for!
"I go chasing the contact, it's good fun and I enjoy it. But when you're around tough forwards it's easier to do. When you see Jared every day and what he does it makes you want to get up for it.
"I think all our middles are tough as can be so if you want to get into the team you've got to surpass those levels."
