Wilson Odobert drops positive injury news update after lengthy spell out for Tottenham
Wilson Odobert posted an update on Tuesday that suggests the Tottenham winger has been working outdoors as he continues his rehabilitation after hamstring surgery.
The 20-year-old only made three Premier League appearances for the club after a £30milliom move from Burnley before suffering a hamstring injury against Coventry in the Carabao Cup in September. Odobert returned to action in the final few minutes of the Europa League game against AZ Alkmaar in late October only to suffer another problem with the muscle which required surgery at The Princess Grace Hospital in Marylebone, London.
Spurs confirmed the following day that Odobert "underwent surgery to his right hamstring. The 19-year-old will continue to be closely monitored by our medical team to determine when he can return to training". Ange Postecoglou then told football.london last month that "obviously Wilson will be out for a fair chunk of the season".

At least the young Frenchman appears to be progressing through his rehabilitation stages after posting an Instagram story on Tuesday afternoon of himself wearing boots and in kit at Tottenham's Hotspur Way training complex, suggesting that he is working outdoors which is the first step on the route back to eventually training again, although the indications are that Odobert will still be out for a considerable amount of time after what was a serious hamstring injury.
Here is the photo that Odobert shared on his social media account:
When he does eventually return to full fitness, Spurs will be cautious with Odobert following his previous setback and also other setbacks with Micky van de Ven and Ben Davies when it has come to hamstring returns in recent weeks.
Postecoglou will be looking forward to having the young winger back at some point though after he showed glimpses of what he can do in those early few games after his move.
