Carlos Alcaraz continues his quest to retain his Wimbledon title with a match against Tommy Paul today. The Spanish youngster has had to dig deep to reach the quarter-finals having dropped sets to both Ugo Humbert and Frances Tiafoe earlier in the competition, with this clash against the 12th seed set to be another major test.

Despite his lofty seeding, this is the first time American Paul has reached the last eight of a slam and he made light work of veteran Roberto Bautista Agut in the last round but was pushed to five sets by the unknown Finn Otto Virtanen in round two.
