There’s no real pressure on Celtic so they can take a swing at the EPL big boys and see what happens. Villa will need the win and have plenty of firepower, but Celtic will be in the fight.

Tough task for Celtic but they have shown grit on the road in their last two away fixtures in the competition going to Bergamo and Zagreb and can secure themselves another point to end the campaign if they play to their full potential.

It feels a bit like a free shot for Celtic with qualification for the play-offs already secured. But it’s not quite that simple. With Villa in need of a win to nail down a top eight spot the English outfit have a huge added incentive. And yet there’s no reason why Scotland’s champions can’t get safely back up the road with one final point in the bag.

Unai Emery’s men look to have lost their mojo in recent weeks and Brendan Rodgers, who won three of his four Premier League trips to Villa Park as Leicester City boss, can enjoy a happy Midlands return.
With the pressure off for Celtic in terms of qualification, they have enough to get at least a draw.

Without Kyogo the onus is likely to be on Adam Idah to ruffle up the Villans but Celtic will miss the Japanese livewire’s ability to tie defenders in knots. I fear the Premier League giants will have too much quality as they go after a win that could clinch them an automatic last 16 spot. Expect a thrilling encounter though.
Aston Villa 2 Celtic 1

Celtic have recorded back-to-back clean sheets on the road in Europe and a third shutout at Villa Park would be a real confidence booster heading into the playoffs. But Celts face a team gunning for last 16 qualification and Unai Emery’s motivated troops will likely be too hot to handle.
