Winners and Losers from the Buffalo Bills win over the New England Patriots
The fourth week of the NFL season is now past us. Now apparently back on the right track, the Buffalo Bills shocked the Patriots on Sunday afternoon in their 16-0 victory, improving their record to 2-2. Getting back to .500, the push for the playoffs this season could be back on in Buffalo considering the talented teams they defeated the last two weeks.
Taking the upset win in New England, the Buffalo Bills had a fair share of winners this week. However, there are also a couple losers we must talk about as well this week. While it may not be directly related to their performance on the field, here is this week’s Winners and Losers from the Bills win over the Patriots.

Winners
1. Zach Brown
If the folks around the NFL had no idea who Zach Brown was before this game, they sure know who he is now. Having what can only be described as an amazing game from his linebacker position, Brown racked up the tackles and seemingly played a role on almost every defensive down.
Recording a total of 18-tackles, one sack, and three tackles for loss during the game, Brown will almost certainly be the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Week. With his name recognition at an all time high, Brown is the Buffalo Bills biggest winner from this contest.
2. Anthony Lynn
If anyone thought last week’s win and offensive performance was a fluke, offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn’s game plan for this week squashed them all out. Though the team only scored 16-points, the passing game was much better this week with the rushing attack also providing solid production in the victory.
If the Bills can begin to convert some of their drives into touchdowns rather than field goals in the coming weeks, this offense could be a major force in the NFL. For now though, the move to make Lynn the offensive coordinator is proving to be both the smart and right move for the team.
3. Rex Ryan
My second coach on the list this week. Many were talking about whether or not Rex Ryan would be fired before or after the end of the season this past week. Heck, there was even speculation that the team was already taking a look at and talking to prospective head coaches for next season.
With this win over New England, the pressure and anger of the fan base should subside. With his second lease on coaching now here, Ryan will need the Bills to continue playing at their current level in this “playoffs or bust” season.

Losers
1. Adolphus Washington
In the final week before Marcell Dareus returns from his suspension, rookie Adolphus Washington had one last chance to impress the Buffalo Bills coaching staff. Starting the game at the defensive/nose tackle position, Washington was unimpressive and his stat line also showed it.
With Dareus returning next week, Washington’s spot in the starting lineup is likely to disepear. Being a rookie, this is unlikely to be Washington’s only chance at starting. For now though, he is the biggest loser from this game. The fact that a man losing his starting spot is the biggest loser proves how well the Bills played this week.
2. Bills fans
Why you may ask. Well, quite simply, this win was made all the more easier by the absence of Tom Brady. With this win taking place in New England, you better believe Brady and the rest of the New England team will be gunning for revenge when the Patriots travel to Buffalo. My bet? They will get there revenge in a big win over the Bills to prove that they are still the ever-talented Patriots we all know.
