Wolves could be missing 7 stars vs Liverpool as Arne Slot sweats on one player
Liverpool needs to win against Wolves in the Premier League this weekend to restore its seven-point lead at the summit. Arsenal overcame Leicester City at the King Power Stadium earlier today.
But Wolves will be missing a whole host of players for its trip to Anfield. Yerson Mosquera, Enso, Gonzalez Medina and Sasa Kalajdzic all have knee injuries. Striker Jorgen Strand Larsen has been suffering with a thigh problem while Boubacar Traore is over his latest injury but has been ill.
Leon Chiwone is out for the rest of the season with an ACL injury while Hee-Chan Hwang has felt something in his hamstring and could be facing a spell on the sidelines. "He’s got an injury and he’ll be out of the next games, maybe two or three games," Wolves manager Vitor Pereira said during his pre-match press conference. "It’s not serious, but it’s something."

Liverpool, meanwhile, will be missing Curtis Jones through suspension. Joe Gomez and Tyler Morton are the only players sidelined through injury with the latter having had surgery last week.
The Reds are expected to name a similar team to the one that started in the final Goodison Park derby midweek. Ryan Gravenberch came off early and should be ready to go again, but Cody Gakpo came off in the second half with a knock.
Arne Slot expecting tough game
"I said the second half of the season is always more difficult than the first half for many reasons," Arne Slot said during his pre-match press conference. "Some teams bring new players in, some teams [have been] playing longer together so they're playing better together, some teams bring new managers in.
"This manager at Everton is doing a great job and the one from Wolves has made them better as well, although I said back then that Gary O'Neil has been very unlucky because I think he deserved much more points than he got for several reasons. But the new manager that came in has done a very good job, got some positive results in.
"So, it's going to be a challenge again on Sunday but that is normal [in the] last part of the season in the best league of the world. You can't expect to go out there and have an easy win. It's always going to be a tough one but the players have shown all season they're ready for tough games."
Liverpool.com says: Wolves have some good players (Matheus Cunha, Joao Gomes and Rayan Ait-Nouri, for instance) but Liverpool should have too much, especially at home. The Reds could do with a comfortable win with no drama after the Everton chaos, not least with Aston Villa and Manchester City to come later in the week.
