Wolves ready to battle Everton for transfer of €12 million Germany international
Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to rival fellow Premier League competitors Everton with their interest in Borussia Mönchengladbach striker Tim Kleindienst.
Wolves are said to be looking at the 29-year-old, according to Bild, after his stellar first half of the season in which he has 'aroused interest' from Premier League clubs. The German striker has scored nine goals and assisted four in 15 games this season for Gladbach who sit eighth in the Bundesliga.
His red-hot form has seen Kleindienst receive his first international caps for Germany at a late after receiving his first call up in October of this year. He has played four times for Die Mannschaft, scoring twice after bagging a brace against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the UEFA Nations League in a 7-0 win in November.

Valued at €12 million by TransferMarkt, Kleindienst would provide value for money and an in-form, experienced addition to the forward ranks at Molineux. With interest in talismanic forward Matheus Cunha rapidly hotting up, Wolves need to brace themselves for bids whilst looking elsewhere in case a replacement or backup to the Brazilian and Jørgen Strand Larsen is required.
With goals recently flowing for the Black Country side after Vítor Pereira's impressive first three games in charge, the Old Gold may opt to shift their focus to other places on the pitch. Defence has been a big area of concern this season with Wolves conceding 42 goals in the Premier League, the joint-worst with Leicester City. Reinforcement in this area may take priority with links to defenders also appearing as the January transfer window approaches.
