Wolves 1-0 West Ham LIVE! Podence goal - Premier League match stream, latest score updates today

Wolves vs West Ham LIVE!

Two teams down at the bottom of the Premier League table face off this afternoon at Molineux. While hosts Wolves have changed managers in a bid to survive the drop, appointing Julen Lopetegui, Hammers boss David Moyes is currently being trusted to do the job.

Wolves, though, are still winless in four and sit 19th, one point and two places worse off than the Hammers. They are are to improve their standing, they will need to work on their home form, which has seen a league-low of five goals.

Moyes will insist he isn't on borrowed time but one point from the last 18 available would suggest otherwise. West Ham have not won away in the league since August, ending that run would give the boss a reprieve. Full-time!

16:56 , Alex Young

97min: Well, well, well.

A fifth defeat in six for West Ham. David Moyes must be fearing for his job.

16:53 , Alex Young

95min: NO GOAL!

Wolves think they've settled it with a second goal is ruled out for offside.

16:49 , Alex Young

90min: SIX minutes added on.

16:47 , Alex Young

87min: Wolves retreating closer and closer to goal. Still able to deal with anything West Ham throw at them.

16:41 , Alex Young

82min: West Ham offering next to nothing.

16:34 , Alex Young

77min: Scamacca is on for Fornals.

WOODWORK!

75min: Neves hits the bar! Agonisingly close from a second.

Ait-Nouri, who was offside, hits the rebound off the post!

16:30 , Alex Young

“Adama Traore coming on for Wolves here. Should he get the chance to run at Cresswell or Ogbonna on the break, we may just be witness to the mis-match of the millennium.”

16:28 , Alex Young

70min: Not much in the way of improvement from West Ham, with Wolves seemingly confortable to keep them at arm’s length.

16:26 , Alex Young

65min: Jimenez and Ait-Nouri on for Cunha and Podence.

16:21 , Alex Young

60min: Benrahma on for Soucek, Fornals into a central role.

Half-an-hour of the midfield that a lot of West Ham fans have been calling for.

Malik Ouzia at Molineux

16:08 , Alex Young

“That’s a dreadful goal for West Ham to concede. Undone on the break from their own corner.

“Lots of poor defending but could Rice have attacked that with a little more conviction in the Wolves box?”

GOAL!

16:06 , Alex Young

48min: Podence with a superb finish from 18 yards!

It sits up beautifully for the winger to volley home.

Second half

16:03 , Alex Young

46min: Back underway!

Half-time!

15:47 , Alex Young

47min: Well... it’s not a classic!

More needed from both in the second half.

15:45 , Alex Young

44min: Hwang is inches from Cunha cross when in a good position inside the area.

Aguerd is then called upon to block Cunha shot. He’s everywhere.

Shrewd move from Moyes to start Antonio here. Not a chance Wolves’ll be in for him after this first half.

15:39 , Alex Young

37min: Another half chance for Wolves as Neves runs onto Moutinho’s chipped cut-back to volley at goal, but it’s wide.

15:35 , Alex Young

“West Ham have got big problems on the left side of their defence. Wolves are getting in behind Cresswell time and again and Ogbonna’s not got the pace to get over and cover.”

15:32 , Alex Young

31min: Chance!

Almost an opener against the run of play for West Ham as Coufal’s effort is cleared off the line by Bueno.

15:29 , Alex Young

27min: Antonio almosts gets the better of a hesitant Sa on the edge of the area, but the Wolves keeper avoids the sliding challenge and clears to set up a Wolves counter.

15:28 , Alex Young

25min: It’s all a bit cagey at the moment. Not a huge amount of quality.

Semedo looks to make some space down the left, sprinting straight past Creswell but his cross is to no one.

15:21 , Alex Young

18min: Talking of Antonio, he gets involved for the first time by exchanging a few passes with Bowen on the edge of the area before throwing himself to the ground.

The referee isn’t interested.

15:17 , Alex Young

“West Ham have been penned back for most of the opening stages here with very little outlet on the break. Michail Antonio has looked a bit disinterested.”

15:12 , Alex Young

11min: Wolves just flooding forward. Nevez almost finds Podence in the area before Nunes is denied by Fabianski.

15:11 , Alex Young

9min: Moutinho is up again. He’ll be fine.

15:10 , Alex Young

8min: Wolves still on top here. Perhaps some early frustration from Rice as he catches Moutinho, who now requires treatment.

15:06 , Alex Young

4min: It’s curled in but West Ham clear at the second attempt.

15:05 , Alex Young

3min: A fast start from the hosts, who flood forward through Moutinho and win a corner.

Kick-off!

15:03 , Alex Young

1min: Here we go!

15:00 , Alex Young

The teams are on their way out and it’s a welcome sight for Malik.

“It’s one of those days up here where you’d quite like the flamethrowers that greet the players as they walk out to stay fired up for the entire game,” he notes.

It’s a cold one at Molineux.

Final prep.

West Ham have won just once away from home all season and not since August. You feel that David Moyes could really do with a win today.

Moyes has voiced concerns over Wolves’ threat ahead of the game.

"I think Wolves have always been a good team, they’ve had some really good players in their line-up over many years,” he told reporters on Friday.

“We played against [Julen Lopetegui] last year when he was manager of Sevilla, so we’ve got an idea of his traits and what his style was then. We see little bits of it at the moment.

“They’re beginning to grow, they look as if they’re making a few signings as well so they’re trying to add to what they’re doing. It’s always been a difficult game at Wolves."

Changes galore

14:20 , Alex Young

Wolves have made five changes from their loss in midweek.

Nathan Collins, Hugo Buenos, Daniel Podence, Ruben Neves and Matheus Cunha replace Jonny, Toti, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Raul Jimenez and Goncalo Guedes.

West Ham make three changes as Aaron Cresswell, Vladimir Coufal and Pablo Fornals replacing Craig Dawson, Ben Johnson and Emerson Palmieri. Dawson, as reported earlier, is not involved.

Here’s how West Ham look.

Team news is imminent.

13:44 , Alex Young

Here’s our man checking in with a keen observation.

Dawson not involved

13:37 , Alex Young

West Ham defender Craig Dawson will not be involved today as Wolves want to sign him.

He is available for the right price, manager David Moyes has said, and today's hosts have lodged a bid which the Hammers are yet to respond to.

Cheeky timing by Wolves, perhaps.

Birthday boy

13:18 , Alex Young

It’s West Ham captain Declan Rice’s birthday today!

Three points today would be his perfect gift, you’d imagine.

Score prediction

13:11 , Alex Young

The home side are certainly looking much better under new management and there is a feeling that things will soon click.

Wolves to win 2-1.

West Ham team news

12:55 , Alex Young

Vladimir Coufal may return to the squad after missing the FA Cup win over Brentford, while Kurt Zouma could also feature.

Lukasz Fabianski will also continue in goal but if Coufal is still struggling with a knee problem, Thilo Kehrer could feature at right-back.

Wolves team news

12:45 , Alex Young

Joao Moutinho, Daniel Podence and Diego Costa are all carrying knocks so are doubts for today’s game.

“At the moment, we don’t know what the squad list will be and we’ll have to think a little bit more about this,” said the Wolves boss. “We are going to make the decision in the next few hours and after this, of course, the line-up.”
