Wrexham face Sam Dalby dilemma after 10-goal striker shines in Dundee derby
Phil Parkinson is facing a big dilemma over the future of Wrexham striker Sam Dalby.
The forward was loaned out to Dundee United on the final day of the summer transfer window after falling out of favour at the Racecourse.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed huge success in the Scottish Premiership, notching ten goals and becoming the league's top scorer.
Dalby's most recent strike secured a dramatic late win for United over bitter rivals Dundee last night, taking his loan club up to third in the table.

Wrexham boss Parkinson must now decide whether to recall the striker during the January transfer window, with his contract due to expire in the summer.
Speaking after last night's game, Dalby admitted he was unsure of his parent club's intentions, but declared himself happy to be at United.
He told Sky Sports: “I’ve no idea what’s happening to be honest with you. Obviously I’m enjoying it here and it’s a great set of lads and a great set of fans.”
Meanwhile, manager Jim Goodwin said he was keen to keep Dalby at Tannadice.
However, he acknowledged the player would have plenty of suitors as he is now free to start speaking to other clubs over a pre-contract agreement.
Goodwin said: “I knew when we took him that he would be successful here.
“My hope was that we'd be able to tie him down to a lengthy contract, but the more he keeps banging in these goals, the harder he's going to make that task for me.
“But I'm not concerned about that at the moment. I think as Dundee United supporters we should enjoy having him while he's here.
“We'll do everything we can to try and keep him, but I'm pretty sure the big fella will have a lot of options in the summer.”
Scottish pundits weighed in on Dalby's future during a debate on Sky Sports after the game.
Former Rangers forward Kris Boyd said United should do everything in their power to keep hold of him.
He said: “If you’ve got someone scoring goals, you have to find a way to keep him.
“Dundee United are a big club and they’ll be able to find some money from somewhere to at least offer him something.”
However, ex-Celtic man Chris Sutton said Dalby may already be looking to play elsewhere.
He said: “He didn’t want to commit in the interview, Sam Dalby, to that question, which suggests he may have had his head turned.”
Where Dalby's future lies remains to be seen, but Phil Parkinson will need to make a decision soon.
The manager could recall the striker with a view to reintegrating him into the team, with Wrexham's forwards currently struggling for goals.
A recall could also be used to try and force United into making a bid to acquire Dalby's services permanently, allowing the Red Dragons to earn a transfer fee.
Keeping him on loan for the remainder of the season may suit United in the short-term.
However, it would potentially leave both the Scottish Premiership side and Wrexham with little say over the player's next move.
