Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson makes transfer stance clear amid links to ex-Premier League striker
Phil Parkinson has made it clear he won't hesitate to strengthen his squad in January as Wrexham battle for promotion to the Championship.
The Hollywood-owned club have been linked with a number of strikers during the current transfer window, including Leeds United star Patrick Bamford.
Reports have now emerged that Wrexham could be about to make a move for Luton Town forward Cauley Woodrow, a former England U21 international.

The ex-Premier League striker has made just one start for the Hatters in the Championship this season, with a move to north Wales now possible, according to journalist Peter O'Rourke.
The 30-year-old, who also played and scored in the top flight for Fulham before joining Barnsley, featured 24 times for the Kenilworth Road side last term, mostly off the bench.
His only goal of the campaign came in the 97th minute of a 1–1 draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in March 2024.
The speculation linking Woodrow to Wrexham follows Parkinson revealing how he intends to approach the transfer window after his side's 1-0 win over Peterborough United in League One on Saturday.
The Red Dragons are currently third in the table, equal on points with second placed Wycombe Wanderers.
Speaking to CBS Sports Golazo, Parkinson said: “We're always looking to see if a player comes available who we think can improve us as we've got the resources to try and get that player.
“But equally, we've got Jack Marriott, who did really well for us at the start of the season, coming back in a couple of weeks as well.
“I don't bring someone in for the sake of it and disrupt the group, but we're looking all the time, and speak to clubs and agents.
“If we feel they can add that extra bit of quality, which might help us get over the line at the end of the season then of course we will go for that.”
Parkinson's squad underwent major changes last summer following their promotion to the third tier.
Notable departures included former captains Ben Tozer and Luke Young, who were a crucial part of the team that won the National League title in 2023 and secured automatic promotion from League Two in 2024.
Former Arsenal goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo was one of their most significant incomings, along with the likes of Ollie Rathbone, Lewis Brunt and George Dobson.
Parkinson said keeping his team fresh over the coming months would be key to their chances of going up again.
He added: “Some key players left us in the summer, and you have to keep moving forward and recruiting players who are ready for this level, but also the level above as well. To get out of divisions, you need players whose quality is above the level you're operating at.
“The club is very fair to all the players and everyone is looked after. But as a manager, I've got to make sure that we keep evolving the squad and improving in all areas.”
