Wrexham sent clear message on Patrick Bamford's Leeds United future by Daniel Farke
Wrexham have been sent a clear message on Patrick Bamford's future amid speculation linking them with a January move for the Leeds United star.
The out-of-favour striker has yet to make a start for the Championship club so far this season and has failed to score in any of his eight substitute appearances.
With the 31-year-old down the pecking order at Elland Road, reports have emerged that Serie A side Genoa and League One Wrexham have shown an interest in acquiring his services.

Owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have repeatedly backed manager Phil Parkinson in the transfer market, but Bamford's £40,000-a-week wages could prove to be a major stumbling block.
Leeds boss Daniel Farke has also indicated that he still sees the number nine as part of his plans after he played a role in United's draw against Preston North End last weekend
Speaking at a press conference held yesterday, the German said: “It’s beneficial for him that he is, since several weeks or so, back in team training and works on his fitness level, sharpness.
“A fit Patrick Bamford is always a good option. In general, all the players from the bench had a really decent impact and I like this a lot.
“Patrick looked alive. He had a great chance. Was a bit unlucky to to miss it, but all the players who came from the bench looked sharp in this game.”
Farke said Leeds are "under no pressure" to sell any of their key players next month after banking more than £100m in transfer fees last summer.
In another possible setback for Wrexham, he said no immediate decisions would be made on any of his team, with several important fixtures coming up.
Farke said: “We raised more money than any club in Western Europe in the summer. There is a moment when you have to sell after spending or overspending in the years before.
“It's crucial for the long-term picture to do this, but it is not good for the short-term. We are a healthy club financially. No pressure to do anything.”
He added: “Even when there is interest, we have calmed everything down. We are in such a crucial period, and we want all our players to focus on us right now.
“We want the whole squad to be focused on these next five games. After January 4, there will be FA Cup weekend and then we can speak about everything else if we do something in January.
“Until then, there won’t be any decisions and we just want to focus on winning as many games as possible.”
