Yahoo XI: Can you beat our Sunday team for Gameweek 27?

We’ve already picked Saturday’s team for Gameweek 27, so now we’re revealing who we think will pick us up the most Fantasy points on from Sunday’s (and Monday’s) fixtures.

We have another double-header on Sunday as high-flying Spurs host in-form Everton and Manchester City travel to Sunderland. Monday night football also returns with a potential blockbuster as Chelsea travel across London to face West Ham.

With 5 of the 6 teams currently in the top half of the table there were plenty of big names to choose from and this is who we picked:

Our team is heavily made up of players from Spurs and Manchester City, with both our forwards, more than half our midfield and three-quarters of our defence from one of those two teams. In fact, there is only player each from Chelsea, West Ham and Everton, and no-one from Sunderland (although we did toy with selecting Jermain Defoe).

Harry Kane has been in sensational form this season this year and coupled with Spurs’ terrific home form, we don’t want to miss out again should he be amongst the goals. Manchester City’s attack should be licking their lips in anticipation of facing a leaky Sunderland defence and Sergio Aguero is best-placed to be a beneficiary so he gets the nod from us.

In the midfield, Christian Eriksen consistently scores in the double figures so is a shoe-in, while David Silva should have an attacking return against Sunderland. Being unable to afford Cesc Fabregas, Victor Moses looks to provide the best value for Chelsea, while Idrissa Gueye had flown under the radar at Everton – until his massive haul last week against Sunderland that is – and he should be in the thick of it again at Spurs. At this point our budget was getting a little tight, so at £10 Harry Winks gets the nod, he should get some minutes from the bench.

Manchester City duo Willy Caballero and Bacary Sagna get the nod in defence (if Sagna doesn’t start, there are several City defenders who are at the same affordable £14). With Winston Reid providing the best value for the little cash we had left we’re relying Kyle Walker to have a big game and bring us home some points for the defence.
