Yahoo XI: Can you beat our Saturday team for Gameweek 27?
Gameweek 27 is now just around the corner, which means it is time to start picking your Daily Fantasy team for this weekend’s leagues.
Saturday sees an interesting round of matches, since Manchester United’s match against Bournemouth won’t feature in Saturday-only leagues, it means Liverpool’s clash with Arsenal will be the only time we’ll see a team from the top 7 feature that day.
With both Arsenal and Liverpool in stuttering league form at the moment and only a handful of big name stars available, we’ve decided to only sign a couple of big names and fill our team with players who we think will provide us decent value.
Up front, Manolo Gabbiadini (£19) is one of England’s in-form of strikers and we’re backing him to continue that form at Watford and we’ve splashed out on Arsenal’s go-to man in Alexis Sanchez (£27).
We’ve splashed out on Gylfi Sigurdsson (£24) whose resurgent Swansea side welcomes Burnley to South Wales, and the Reds’ Philippe Coutinho (£25), who was arguably Liverpool’s only bright spark against Leicester on Monday. Rounding out our midfield is Burnley’s Robbie Brady (£15), Chris Brunt (£15) and Lazar Markovic (£14) – assuming he gets over his knock in time for the visit to Leicester City.
At the back, with goal-shy Middlesbrough visiting Stoke, we’re backing the Potters to bounce back from their mauling at Tottenham Hotspur and have plumped for Erik Pieters (£14) and goalkeeper Lee Grant (£14). While Pieters is a solid scorer we’re banking on two fullbacks – Ryan Bertrand (£16) and Nathaniel Clyne (£16) – to score us most of our defensive points.
