Rochdale returned to winning ways with a 4-0 win over Yeovil in the National League.

Both teams had early chances from free-kicks, with Kairo Mitchell and Jake Wannell both heading wide, and Dale came close when Devante Rodney smashed an effort over the bar.

Yeovil had a chance when Sean McGurk blasted a shot over the crossbar before having a low strike saved by Sam Waller and Rodney had a free-kick punched clear by Ollie Wright just before half-time.

However, a relentless second half display saw Rodney eventually find the breakthrough four minutes after the break after bundling home from a corner and Mitchell doubled their lead in the 57th minute with a cool finish from the penalty spot.

Leon Ayinde struck seven minutes later after tapping home at the back post and Jake Burger capped off a comfortable afternoon with a close-range finish four minutes into extra time.
