Young boxer makes impressive return to ring with first-round win
A young boxing star made an impressive return to the ring with a first-round win.
Twelve-year-old Bobby Mills, from Carisbrooke College, faced Max Stocks, also 12, from Gosport, at the Paulsgrove Show in Portsmouth.
After ten months away from competition to hone his skills, Bobby was back with a bang.
From the start, he dominated the centre of the ring, delivering rapid, accurate punches that left Max reeling and prompted the referee to give Max a standing count.
Although Max launched a spirited counterattack, Bobby's precise strikes proved unanswerable, leading the referee to halt the match in Bobby's favour.
This victory by first-round stoppage marks a promising beginning to the year for the young fighter.
Bobby, who was a finalist in last year's National Cadet Boxing, dreams of going one better this year and clinching the national title.
