Youthful Oxhey Jets secure impressive victory at Yateley
Oxhey Jets' unpredictable season swung again with a stunning display at play-off hopefuls Yateley to seal a superb 4-3 away victory on Saturday.
The visitors had possibly their youngest squad of the season in action on an immaculate pitch and they delivered a fabulous opening 25 minutes to race into a 3-0 lead.

Following the pass of the match from Toju James, Owen Ayres, whose touch in front of goal is returning, met his pinpoint low drive to make the breakthrough in the fifth minute.
Patrick Brander doubles Jets' advantage. (Image: John Elliott) The football continued to flow and an interchange between Dom Mosca and Rice led to a composed finish from Brander in the 11th minute.
Jets were flying and as the defenders peeled off to try to peg back the wingers, it was top scorer Mosca who hammered home the third with just 16 minutes on the clock.

Yateley then started to gain a foothold and worked their way back into the game and they thought they had won a penalty when Henry Atkinson chased back and won a superb tackle.
However, the referee then chose to consult his assistant and, correctly, changed the decision but to a drop ball and not the corner he should have awarded.

The pressure continued and it told again in the 59th minute when Harry Lee headed home from a set piece.
Jets were on the rack but the goal galvanised them and two minutes later Mosca harassed and chased to win back possession before slotting home to make it 4-2.
With half an hour still to play, the visitors showed a maturity in possession and game management that belied the age of their players, holding firm until stoppage time when another set piece was headed home.
Jets kept their composure though, and had two opportunities to score a fifth.
The first was kept out by the corner and the second saw James sensibly headed for the corner flag when he and Ayres played out multiple corners to see their side over the line.
