A YouTuber has gone viral for committing an apparent 'Accidental Partridge' whilst attempting to make a dig at Swindon Town.

An 'Accidental Partridge' is attributed to a person who has said or done something akin to the legendary comedy character Alan Partridge.

His awkward takes and mannerisms long live on in British culture and have now seemingly made their way over to Swindon.

The account Accidental Partridge posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) a video of a woman giving a brief history of the Football League: "The first team to be relegated from the top, the Premier League, down to the bottom, League Two, plays in this town here.

After that, she covered up the 'S' on the Swindon train sign, saying: "Swindon. Not 'Windon'.

"And that's the whole point."

A lot of users in the comments were quick to point out that the joke seemed to go over a lot of heads and the woman, Nieve Petruzziello, also known as StuntPegg, knew exactly what she was doing.

One said: "StuntPegg is unironically one of the best football content creators/commentators I've seen in a long time."

Another replied: "Bro, that's fully intentional and the fact you thought it was accidental makes it that much better."

Whilst someone else commented: "Nothing accidental about that. Cunk esque delivery".

After seeing how viral she went, Nieve posted on her X account: "Hahaha. 2025 is already a triumph."

Which team was the first to be relegated to the bottom division?

But this begs the bigger question, which team was the first to be relegated to the bottom division?

Some users on the platform believed that Oldham Athletic laid claim to that embarrassing crown but it was in fact Swindon Town.

Swindon Town were the first team to reach League Two from the top division, and Oldham was the first to drop out of the Football League entirely.
