KYLE DAKE: My name's Kyle Dake. I'm from upstate New York, Ithaca, Cornell graduate. I am a father of two little girls. I've been at this game for a long time. Two-time world champion the past two years for '18 and '19. And I'm just excited to get over to Tokyo.
My brother wrestled in college at Cornell. We decided that we needed somewhere to train. So what we did is we've got some wrestling mats, pulled my wife's car out, my truck out, and rolled them out in the garage and made that our wrestling. So we spent probably a couple of months in there, just training.
And we had a couple of guys who were in the bubble with me. And we just made sure that we stayed focused and did everything that we could to make sure that we all stayed healthy and kept training.
My diet is pretty clean cut. I kind of follow a paleo diet, try to get everything wild-caught, grass-fed, my protein sources that way. I have a garden. So I usually get all my vegetables from my garden. Most of the time, it's pretty clean cut and pretty easy for me to just stay nourished.
