Three-time world champion slackliner Jaan Roose has completed a world-first highline walk between the Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai. Walking back and forth along a 100-metre line suspended 224 metres above the ground, the 32-year-old Estonian delivered one of his most visually stunning performances to date. The futuristic skyscrapers of Dubai provided a dramatic backdrop to the highline challenge. Roose explained the technical complexities of the setup, noting the difference in height between the two towers. Despite the nerve-wracking nature of the walk, Roose relished the experience. “All I was thinking was, 'I wish we had more wind!' That can make it easier to walk on a shorter line,” he adds. “But when I'm on the line, just being by myself walking alone, that's the best feeling—especially when I'm performing at the same time.
