Slackline Daredevil Jaan Roose Pulls Off Death-Defying Feat In Dubai. Three-time world champion slackliner Jaan Roose has completed a world-first highline walk between the Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai. Walking back and forth along a 100-metre line suspended 224 metres above the ground, the 32-year-old Estonian delivered one of his most visually stunning performances to date. The futuristic skyscrapers of Dubai provided a dramatic backdrop to the highline challenge. Roose explained the technical complexities of the setup, noting the difference in height between the two towers. Despite the nerve-wracking nature of the walk, Roose relished the experience. “All I was thinking was, 'I wish we had more wind!' That can make it easier to walk on a shorter line,” he adds. “But when I'm on the line, just being by myself walking alone, that's the best feeling—especially when I'm performing at the same time. It's not just sport, it's performance art; two in one.” The daring feat marked the opening of the third edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, the world's largest event dedicated to the content creator economy.
