11 players could miss Man City vs Real Madrid as Champions League injury news confirmed
Both Manchester City and Real Madrid have some injury worries ahead of the Champions League meeting between the two teams. City host the Spanish giants at the Etihad Stadium in the first leg of the Champions League play-off on Tuesday night (8pm kick-off).
The winner of the two-legged tie will go through to the round of 16 stage of the competition where they will face either Atletico Madrid or Bayer Leverkusen. The second leg of the tie against Real Madrid takes place at the Bernabeu on Wednesday, 19 February (8pm kick-off).
But eyes are fully on the first leg, with Carlo Ancelotti suffering somewhat of a defensive injury crisis ahead of the match. Real will be without long-term absentees Dani Carvajal and Eder Miltao. David Alaba is expected to miss the game with a muscle injury, while former Chelsea man Antonio Rudiger is also a major doubt.

The Spanish side have now been handed another injury blow with makeshift full-back Lucas Vazquez confirmed as being out after suffering a hamstring injury. Real have confirmed that he has not travelled with the squad.
For City, they remain without long-term absentee Rodri, who is still recovering from a knee injury. Another long-term absentee in Oscar Bobb is also expected to miss the game, with reports that he has had a minor set-back in his recovery from an ankle injury.
The club will have to make checks on Nico Gonzalez, who was forced to leave the pitch in the first half of the clash against Leyton Orient with a hip injury. There is a major doubt over winger Jeremy Doku who has missed the last five games in all competitions with an unknown injury.
Ederson is a doubt due to fitness, but could potentially make his comeback against Real. Nathan Ake is in a similar situation, with the defender potentially making his comeback after missing the last six games due to injury.
