Arne Slot ace drops hint on Liverpool future amid summer transfer links - 'I feel like'
Kostas Tsimikas has subtly indicated his intentions to stay with Liverpool amid the build-up to the crucial League Cup semi-final second leg against Tottenham Hotspur. With Andy Robertson's fluctuating form, Tsimikas has racked up 20 appearances this season, sharing left-back duties under Arne Slot's rotation policy.
Robertson's occasional lapses have not gone unnoticed, sparking debates about his longevity at Anfield, especially as his contract is set to expire in 2026. Consequently, Liverpool's rumor mill has been abuzz, linking the Reds to several potential left-back recruits, including AFC Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez.
The clamor for a fresh face on the left side of defense has grown louder, with fans and pundits alike suggesting it could shake up the dynamic between Tsimikas and Robertson. In response to the scrutiny he's faced, Robertson recently affirmed his desire to retain his spot as Liverpool's first-choice left-back.

Now, Tsimikas has expressed his contentment at the club, acknowledging the confidence he's gained from Slot's management style and expressing his eagerness to extend his tenure with the Reds for "many years."
Speaking to the club's official website, Tsimikas said: "I just feel confident. I feel like the manager believes in me. When I play, he is always there for me and always shows me that he wants the best for me.
"I really, really enjoy being here with the manager, with the boys. You can always see the smile on my face when I play and when we score a goal.
"It's a big thing for me to say good things but, as I always say, the mirror is the pitch you have to show there exactly what you can do. Nothing is easy, as we know. I'm really, really happy and I will continue to do this for as many years as I can."
Slot has been willing to rotate his side this season and only Trent Alexander-Arnold is injured at the moment, as a result. "If Kostas was on a completely different level than Robbo, then it would not be smart to rotate in that position or manage the load," he explained to the media. "Because then you drop so far in quality that it could be a risk.
"I don't know what Kostas' situation was last season I know that he didn't play a lot but I don't know which level he was at but from the moment I came in, in our tour of the United States, he did really well.
"So he's proved that he can play in the left full-back position as well. Since we've got now two good options in my opinion, you indeed see that we are managing loads and rotate in that position quite a bit."
Liverpool.com says: Left-back should be a priority for Liverpool in the summer but one of the existing options would have to leave to make room. As Tsimikas has hinted at here, that is far from a given.
