Bournemouth vs Arsenal LIVE! Premier League result, match stream and latest updates today
A brilliantly-worked goal by Ryan Christie and a Justin Kluivert penalty gave Bournemouth a shock 2-0 Premier League win at home to 10-man Arsenal on Saturday, with Gunners defender William Saliba shown a straight red card in the first half.
Already missing Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka through injury, Arsenal lost Saliba on the half-hour mark when a yellow card for bringing down Evanlison was upgraded to red after a VAR review, and it turned out to be the pivotal moment of the game as their unbeaten start to the league season was ended.
After making the most of their one-man advantage to pin the visitors back, Christie finally broke the deadlock in the 70th minute when fellow substitute Kluivert flicked a low corner into his path, and the 29-year-old drilled it into the top corner to give Bournemouth the lead.
Things went from bad to worse for Arsenal seven minutes later when keeper David Raya upended Evanilson in the box, and Kluivert scored from the spot to make it 2-0 and secure three well-deserved points for the Cherries.

Declan Rice says Arsenal need to cut out “silly mistakes” and stop being naive after they slumped to a first defeat of the season at Bournemouth.
The Gunners were beaten 2-0 by Bournemouth, who took advantage of them being down to 10 men after William Saliba was sent off after half an hour.
Saliba was given his marching orders after he brought down Evanilson, with Leandro Trossard’s loose pass putting the French defender in trouble.
Referee Robert Jones originally gave Saliba a yellow card, but he upgraded it to a red after VAR recommended he review his decision at the pitch-side monitor.
Arsenal get taste of their own medicine as worrying pattern continues
19:58 , Jonathan Gorrie
A first away defeat in the Premier League for Arsenal since the turn of the year and, this time, playing with 10 men proved too much of a tall order.
The Gunners have had plenty of experience playing with a man less this season and indeed this was a third time in eight league games they have had someone sent off.

Mikel Merino is in contention to make his full Arsenal debut against Bournemouth this evening, while there are decisions to be made over the likes of Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz.
Merino has come off the bench for the Gunners in their last two games after missing the first part of the season with a shoulder injury.
Merino, who signed for Arsenal in the summer from Real Sociedad for over £30million, has been getting more minutes in his legs during the international break by playing for Spain.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is sweating on the fitness of a number of players after they picked up issues during the international break.
Saka limped off with what appeared to be a hamstring injury during England’s 2-1 loss to Greece on Thursday night.
The winger underwent a scan and was released from the England camp before their win over Finland on Sunday.
England interim boss Lee Carsley suggested the injury was not serious and there is optimism that Saka will be fit for Saturday’s trip to Bournemouth.
