Chelsea player ratings vs Tottenham: Conor Gallagher bosses midfield battle as Alfie Gilchrist steps up

Chelsea secured a vital win over rivals Tottenham to propel themselves back in the race for Europe.

Trevoh Chalobah powered in a header from a deep Conor Gallagher free-kick to open the scoring in the 24th minute.

Nicolas Jackson effectively killed the game by heading in the rebound after Cole Palmer’s second-half free-kick hit the bar.

The two London rivals both missed big chances throughout the match, with Chelsea dominating early on but Spurs improved their performance after half-time.
