Chelsea vs Newcastle LIVE! Carabao Cup result, match stream and latest updates after penalty shootout
Chelsea booked their passage to the semi-final of the Carabao Cup on penalties after Mykhailo Mudryk's stoppage-time equaliser rescued a 1-1 draw against Newcastle at Stamford Bridge.
Mudryk slotted home after a mistake from Kieran Trippier just as Eddie Howe's side looked to have done enough to ease past the hosts, who struggled to create for much of the game.
Earlier, Callum Wilson had given the visitors a first-half lead on the counter-attack. But as the game went to spot-kicks, Trippier again was culpable, firing wide from 12 yards before Matt Ritchie saw the critical kick saved by goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic to see Chelsea through.

Mauricio Pochettino reacts on Sky Sports
22:39 , Marc Mayo
"I think it was an unbelievable game, we suffered when we conceded through our mistake.
"You need some luck and when we try in this way the luck can arrive.
"We said before the game that many positivities appeared throughout the group vs Sheffield United. To beat Newcastle, you see the whole squad on the pitch - even the injured players - were there, it's an unbelievable feeling.
"I am so happy, we're creating a very good bond and to be a team is about time to know each other, to live good and not good things, this will help us.
"[Enzo] felt sick before the game, when he started to play he wasn't very well. He asked to come off, we hope it's not a big thing.
"[Levi Colwill] was more tactical, he was a little bit tired. He's playing a lot of games, Malo was more defensive and more fresh. He should be ready to next game no problem."

Paez has been likened to Argentina stars Lionel Messi or Angel Di Maria as a creative left-footed midfielder capable of playing as a winger.

However, they've won their last four quarter-finals since Sunderland dumped them out at this stage in 2014.
