Which club will Jurgen Klopp manage next? Odds and Anfield farewell explained

Jurgen Klopp manager of Liverpool celebrating with the fans at the end of the Premier League match between Liverpool FC and Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on May 05, 2024 in Liverpool, England.

As Jurgen Klopp's nine-year stint with Liverpool comes to a close following this afternoon's clash with Wolves, many are already asking the question: Where will he end up next?

Having already cemented his legacy as one of the greatest managers of all time during his time in the Premier League, supporters and football fans across the world are wondering when the German will undertake his next assignment after announcing he'll be leaving Merseyside at the end of the season.

With no official job offers lined up, and Klopp's claim that he'll simply take things a bit more easy over the next few months, he admitted: "I have got an invitation now for the Champions League final. They said, 'I don't think he will come', but of course I will come, it's the Champions League final and I have nothing to do really!

"But then I need more tickets too. It's the first time in my life I'm asking for tickets - normally it's me who is always being asked! It's a really strange feeling. I never did, I never have had to ask for tickets. Now I am asking it really feels strange.

"That's one thing, besides that we didn't plan anything [after I leave Liverpool]. At the Euros we will watch games and have tickets for a few games. Being in Germany for a long time, meeting friends, nothing spectacular. Just easy-going, not planning a pre-season, I will definitely not do that, and not being involved in any transfer talks, which is such a difference. I'm really looking forward to it."

The Reds boss has even created his own Instagram profile in a bid to stay in touch with Liverpool and its supporters despite, in his own words, 'not being a social media person'. But while he does settle down for a much-deserved rest, the bookies are still unconvinced around his future.

The odds for Klopp to takeover the Germany National Team are the shortest of all at 2/9, while Barcelona, who are looking to replace current manager Xavi before he leaves at the end of their season, are second-favourites at 5/1.

Bayern Munich are next at 13/2 while his old club Borussia Dortmund are a way off at 10/1, with Real Madrid and AC Milan not too far behind at 11/1 and 14/1 respectively.

In what would be an incredible turn of events, Klopp is touted to become England's new national team manager at 16/1 odds if Gareth Southgate was to leave following the upcoming 2024 Euros competition. The USA Men's national team are next at 25/1 while a shock move to rivals Manchester United is 200/1.
