Liverpool vs Wolves tickets already at eye-watering prices ahead of Jurgen Klopp's Anfield goodbye

Jurgen Klopp the head coach / manager of Liverpool waves to Liverpool fans at full time after the Premier League match between Aston Villa and Liverpool FC at Villa Park on May 13, 2024 in Birmingham, England.

Liverpool are preparing to bid farewell to manager Jurgen Klopp who will is set to take charge in his final game with the club on Sunday afternoon as they host Wolves at Anfield - but not every Reds supporter has their hands on a ticket.

The German boss' nine-year stint with the club was confirmed to be coming to an end earlier this season, with Klopp's final season in charge coming with a second League Cup trophy win and a third-place finish in what has been a dramatic Premier League title race.

It'll no doubt be a full house at Anfield, with visitors Wolves being handed an allocation of just over 2,500 tickets. However, if you're a Liverpool fan wanting to go to the match this weekend, you might have to cough up more than you first expected. While there are still chances for club members to buy tickets through the club's official website, third-party sites and resellers have seats listed at exorbitant rates.

According to website Ticombo, the cheapest seats available are in the Anfield Road End for a steady £200, while some seats in the Main stand, close to the dugout for Klopp's final match with the club, are priced at a staggering £7k - almost eight times the price of an Adult Season Ticket in the Main stand.

There's unlikely to be a dry eye in the stands when the Reds boss walks out of the tunnel for the final time, but once everything is all said and done, many aren't sure what Klopp will do with his newly-found free time. Fortunately for him, it's much of the same - watching football.

"I have got an invitation now for the Champions League final," he admitted earlier this week. "They said, 'I don't think he will come', but of course I will come, it's the Champions League final and I have nothing to do really!

"But then I need more tickets too. It's the first time in my life I'm asking for tickets - normally it's me who is always being asked! It's a really strange feeling. I never did, I never have had to ask for tickets. Now I am asking it really feels strange.

"That's one thing, besides that we didn't plan anything [after I leave Liverpool]. At the Euros we will watch games and have tickets for a few games. Being in Germany for a long time, meeting friends, nothing spectacular. Just easy-going, not planning a pre-season, I will definitely not do that, and not being involved in any transfer talks, which is such a difference. I'm really looking forward to it."
