Ex-Liverpool star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain lined up for surprise Premier League transfer return
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is reportedly being targeted by West Ham for a possible loan return to the Premier League this month.
It is reported by Turkish outlet Sozcu that Oxlade-Chamberlain wants to return to England 18 months on from his move to Turkey on a free transfer.
The 31-year-old was released by Liverpool when his contract ended in June 2023, and he has appeared 36 times for the Super Lig club.
Oxlade-Chamberlain's struggles with injuries have continued in Turkey and West Ham is said to be one of a number of English top-flight clubs that are interested in signing the former Southampton player.

Brentford, Crystal Palace, Wolves and Nottingham Forest are also reported to be considering a move for Oxlade-Chamberlain in the final days of the transfer window.
It is claimed that West Ham could look to make room in the squad for Oxlade-Chamberlain by offloading the likes of James Ward-Prowse and Tomas Soucek.
Journalist Graeme Bailey, however, contrastingly claims that new Besiktas manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a fan of Oxlade-Chamberlain and wants to keep him for the second half of the season.
“[He is] not leaving Besiktas," Bailey told leedsunited.news, amid speculation linking Oxlade-Chamberlain with a move to Championship high-fliers Leeds. "I understand that with Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer] going in there, a player he likes. He was a bit out of the picture earlier this season.
“But Solskjaer doesn’t want to lose him. It’s one of those where a new manager has come in, likes him a lot. He might have been an option, but not now. He could be an option [for Leeds] in the summer but it depends.”
