Jonas Lössl (£12) and new boys Huddersfield produced one of the big upsets of the weekend as they beat Crystal Palace 3-0 at Selhurst Park. The Dane scored 16 points courtesy of a win, a clean sheet and four saves.

Watford conceded three to Liverpool at Vicarage Road but Miguel Britos (£14) still managed to sneak into the optimal team with a last minute goal. The Uruguayan also mustered two shots, both of which hit the target. Britos topped up his 15.5 points with 29 passes, a corner won and a tackle won.

Ben Davies (£16) impressed in Danny Rose’s absence with a coolly taken goal from his only shot; 68 successful passes, 1 cross, a free kick won and a successful tackle. A booking brought his total down to a still impressive 15.4 points.

Ahmed Hegazi (£13) filled in admirably for Gareth McAuley, as the Egyptian centre-back scored a header from a corner – the West Brom way. Defenders who shoot will always score highly in the Yahoo Cup and Hegazi hit the target with 2 of his 3 shots.

Manchester United routed West Ham 4-0 and Henrikh Mkhitaryan (£22) racked up 14.9 points with 2 assists, and shot on target from his 3 attempts. The busy Armenian connected with a cross, won a corner and he even tackled a Hammer too.

Spurs’ gained the lead through a moment of magic from Christian Eriksen (£27) as he crossed the ball to Ali for his first assist. He got his second nine minutes later to add to his 5 shots, 3 of which tested Elliot. The Dane’s 61 passes put his total points on 21.1 for the week.

Swansea and Southampton combined for the season’s first 0-0 draw but midfielder Dusan Tadic (£18) was the sole player from the game to feature in the optimal line-up with his 11.4 points. The Serbian hit the target with one of his 3 shots but scored consistently at both ends of the pitch with 4 successful crosses, 3 corners won as well as a tackle and an interception.

Watford featured twice in the optimal line-up thanks to their 3 goals in the early Saturday kick-off. Abdoulaye Doucourè (£12) was energetic with 60 passes, 1 tackle, an interception and he even wiped out Liverpool’s equaliser with his only shot of the game for a total of 13.5 points.

Chelsea’s collapse at the Bridge afforded Sam Vokes (£22) the chance to rack up 21.7 points with his 2 goals in the first 45 minutes from his 3 shots. The Englishman harassed the Blues’ defence all game, winning 3 free-kicks and conceding 4 fouls, but he did successfully win the ball back once for the Clarets.

Steve Mounie (£16) bagged a brace with his three shots and won a corner during a dominant debut in the Premier League for Huddersfield. The Terriers record signing also won 2 corners for his new club but was booked for a striker’s challenge on Ruben Loftus-Cheek, leaving him with 20.7 points.

Romelu Lukaku (£28) topped the scoring in the Yahoo Cup’s first week with 24.8 points, courtesy of 2 goals from his 3 shots. The Belgian also topped up his score by winning a corner, completing 16 passes and he even helped Manchester United keep a clean sheet with 2 blocks.
