Federico Chiesa and Jayden Danns just did something for Liverpool that no one has in 119 years
Liverpool duo Federico Chiesa and Jayden Danns have played just 35 minutes between them this season in the Premier League — but the pair just achieved something no one else has in 119 years while playing for the Reds.
The pair came off the bench as Liverpool won 4-1 against Ipswich Town, with Dominik Szoboszlai opening the scoring. The Hungarian netted first before Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo made it 3-0 at half-time and the Dutch winger then got his second of the afternoon after the interval.
Danns was brought on to replace Alexis Mac Allister with 10 minutes left on the clock, while Chiesa was thrown on for Luis Diaz six minutes later. And they both made history.

Danns and Chiesa, according to Opta's Michael Reid, are only the second and third players to ever win their first eight matches for Liverpool in all competitions. George Latham was previously the only one who had, doing so between 1905 and 1906.
"I think it was an almost-perfect game," Gakpo told the Reds' official website post-match. "I think we created a lot of chances, obviously they were a tough side to play.
"They played very deep [so it was] very difficult to create some chances but we did that. So, I think we played a good game, scored four goals, but at the end we conceded, which is not what we wanted because we wanted to keep a clean sheet. But at the end, I think [it was] a good performance and on to the next."
Liverpool.com says: Danns and Gakpo should be prime candidates to play against PSV midweek when Slot can afford to make changes to his starting XI. If they are involved and win again, Liverpool will make more history by becoming the only club to win all eight group matches in the new-look Champions League format.
