Former Man United star Paul Pogba opens up on return ambition as short-term transfer tipped
Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has outlined his aspirations to return to the French national team and help them win the World Cup.
The 31-year-old continues his search for a professional club after failing to secure a move during the winter transfer window.
Pogba's ban from football will end next month after he was suspended due to testing positive for having a banned substance in his body.

He has posted throughout his journey back to full fitness and dropped a series of hints over a possible MLS move - to join Lionel Messi at Inter Miami, co-owned by United icon David Beckham.
The initial four-year ban was brought down and has now offered Pogba a way back into the top-flight professional game.
In recent weeks, there has been a number of links with a return to action for the former France international - most recently, a reunion with former United forward Mason Greenwood.
The academy prospect now plies his trade in Ligue 1 with Marseille, under Roberto De Zerbi with the 23-year-old hitting form in France's top-flight.
Pogba will be the cover star for Ball.LDN's winter 24/25 exclusive edition and in a series of posts on Instagram, the magazine have posted snippets of interviews involving the 31-year-old.
"The French team are exciting and I'm a big fan of them already," said Pogba.
"I can't wait to see how they further develop and win a future World Cup - hopefully with me as a team-mate."
The next edition of the grandest prize in international football will be held across three countries with Canada, Mexico and the United States hosting the competition, in 2026.
In another snippet, Pogba goes on to discuss his dress sense is a reflection of many things including who he is and what he has been through. He added "The way I dress is a reflection of myself in every sense.
"It represents who I am, what I've been through, how I'm feeling... many things." He continued: "Winning the 2018 World Cup made me hungry for more and more.
"It made me want to win every medal and every trophy out there."
In a recent report from Footmercato, it has been claimed that there have been reservations from Marseille over Pogba after playing less than 30 minutes since September 2023. Another factor, the report suggests, is that the finances are another issue as well as the possible dressing room impact should he join.
America, with a deadline of April 23, Brazil, who's window closes on February 28 or Turkey have been suggested as short-term solutions.
