Gossip: Transfer chase for Chelsea legend John Terry, Joe Hart linked with Liverpool, Arsene Wenger 'almost certain' to stay
On the downside, John Terry has been so comprehensively sidelined from Chelsea’s title chase in his final Stamford Bridge campaign that he hasn’t been seen on a Premier League pitch for almost six months. But on the plus side, he can take a little confidence boost from the amount of teams that still want to sign him.
Not very good teams, obviously. Since JT announced he will leave his beloved Blues at the end of the season, he has been presented with the pick of mid-ranking football outfits across the world. There a reportedly a few in China, one in Dubai and one in West Bromwich, and today we learn of more.
Swansea, the Premier League club managed by Terry’s old Stamford Bridge mate Paul Clement, are said by the Star to be planning a swoop for Chelsea’s captain. The only problem is that next season Clement might not be in charge, and Swansea might not be a Premier League club.

The Mirror says Bournemouth are in “pole position” to land the former England skipper after Cherries manager Eddie Howe apparently got some “very encouraging noises” from JT about striking a deal. Vanessa Perroncel will probably know what those sound like.
But perhaps most intriguingly, Terry is also believed to be interesting West Ham, whose manager Slaven Bilic has “refused to rule out” a move for a man who has spent the last decade being abused by Hammers fans (Mirror).
Another Premier League outcast, Joe Hart, will also be welcomed back into the bosom of the world’s most exciting league by Liverpool, says the Sun.
The tabloid “exclusively” reveals that the Manchester City goalkeeper will move to Anfield for £20m, scuppering Torino’s plan to keep him on loan for another season and putting an end to Simon Mignolet’s salad days once and for all.

Hart’s Etihad replacement Claudio Bravo, meanwhile, is set to remain at the club after he impressed Pep Guardiola by saving some shots on target against Southampton last weekend (Sun).
Arsenal target Sead Kolisanic has been informed that manager Arsene Wenger will stay on at the Emirates next season, reports the Mail, which adds that all prospective Gunners signings are being told the same thing.
The Mirror agrees that Wenger is “almost certain” to pen a two-year contract extension with the club, who evidently retain faith in his ability to lead Arsenal into a European quarter-final, albeit in the Europa League.

Elsewhere, Chelsea have an “agreement” to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid at the end of the season (Diario Gol), Everton are interested in 27-year-old Palermo striker Ilija Nestorovski as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku (Estadio Deportivo) and Man Utd manager Jose Mourinho has added Burnley defender Michael Keane to his summer “wish list” and is prepared to to pay 12 times the £2.5m the Red Devils sold him to the Clarets for a couple of years ago (Mirror). It would still work out better value than Bastian Schweinsteiger, to be fair.
